My Favourite MAC Cosmetics Products

In this post, I'll be listing a couple of my all time favourite MAC cosmetics products. Those listed below have been my favourite products not only from the brand but of all time and many of them I will repurchase once they finish. I do want to try a couple of other products from MAC, but at the moment these are my must haves.

Prolonger Concealer

This concealer was my first "high-end" concealer. It is a high coverage concealer and is good for oily skin as it stays put and doesn't get oily during the day. The best thing to do with this concealer is to set it with a powder and rehydrate your skin with a setting spray (a good example is the All Nighter Setting Spray from Urban Decay) or a mist (like the MAC Prep + Prime Fix +). I wouldn't recommend this concealer for drier skin types as it can be slightly drying. It is a higher coverage concealer with a satin-matte finish. It comes with a pump which is good for hygiene and keeping the product fresh, but it can be hard to control the amount of product distributed. Nonetheless, this is still one of my favourite concealers as I do have combo/oily skin and dark circles under my eyes.I have already repurchased it once and will definitely repurchase again once it's finished.

Studio Fix Fluid Foundation

The MAC Studio Fix Fluid is my go to the foundation. I'm in the shade NC10 as it is the lightest shade in their range. This foundation is medium/full coverage with a demi-matte finish. It is ideal for oilier skin types and lasts very long so is great for events as it does not have a flashback. I always set my foundations with a powder and use a fixing spray afterwards (I was surprised when I found out some people don't set their foundations). The only con of this foundation, in my opinion, is that it doesn't come with a pump (although you can buy one separately) and the scent is similar to paint which doesn't bother me, but can be off-putting for some people. I wouldn't recommend this foundation to sensitive skinned people as it can cause breakouts, but for the average person, it's a great full coverage option.

Prep + Prime Fix +

This is one of my top products from MAC. It is a water-based spray that can be used to prime the face as well as set your makeup after application. I usually spray this on my face before I put my makeup on if my face is feeling a bit drier, but I generally use it after I've set my foundation with a powder to rehydrate and blend my makeup seamlessly. It's an essential part of my makeup collection that I will definitely repurchase.

Lipsticks
Specifically Velvet Teddy, Viva Glam II and Spirit

I love MAC lipsticks; I really find it hard to find other lipstick brands that I like. The collection of nudes are definitely my favourite but I am a fan of all the lipstick colours, to be honest. The Matte's and Satin formulae are definitely my go to but I'd like to try the other types at some point.

Liptensity Lipsticks
Specifically Driftwood

I enjoy the formula of these lipsticks a lot. They are very creamy, with a high colour payoff and dry down to an almost matte texture. I love that these lipsticks are quite hydrating and moisturising as I go through stages where I jump from only wearing satin or matte lipsticks and liquid lipsticks to only wearing moisturising lipsticks, lip glosses and lip balms. I highly recommend these and I strive to have the entire collection because I am addicted!

This was my first high-end highlighter, and I bought this about a year and a bit ago when I first got into makeup properly. It is a pink/champagne sort of colour with tiny shimmer particles throughout but they aren't too noticeable once applied. It literally still looks brand new. I have surprisingly used this highlighter a tonne, but I really think I'm going to have this thing forever because there is just so much product! I'm not as big on highlighters as I am with other makeup products (like eyeshadow palettes, I love eyeshadow palettes). I do however have my fair couple of highlighters, and this is still one of my favourites for when I'm feeling a little extra as it can be quite dazzling. I'll probably never have to repurchase it, but I do recommend it to everyone as I do believe it is worth the money.
